Hello, James Stevens here.
As many of you know, I'm all about helping people with supplements.
Consequently, I have spent many years considering the challenges of how to best approach "getting it from the bottle to the body"!
Here's my picks on some of the best options available today, as well as the pro's
and cons.
An important consideration in my picks below was the compartment size. This supplier rates
capacity by aspirins - but the compartments need to hold at 20-25 aspirins to work
for supplements. If you consider other choices on their website, be sure keep that
in mind. |

Pocket
Thin Round
write down item#: 67172-414
$1.00 ea.
This container is perfect for carrying a lunch-time
or dinner-time dose of vitamins in the front pocket of your pants. Because it's thin,
it doesn't bulge or feel uncomfortable. It's best used in conjunction with a weekly
dispenser of some sort. That way you can quickly transfer a group of vitamins that have
been prepared in advance to this Pocket
Thin Round , and be on your way. These do tend to wear out with time, so you may
want to pick up a few extras.

Disposable
Pouches
write down item#: 67057-645
$2.97 / pkg of 100
This is another option for portability. These Disposable
Pouches are reusable and low-profile - which again is perfect for the front
pocket of your pants. Sometimes capsules may get dented, but who cares - you should
see them after you swallow them, right? As with the Pocket Thin Round, it's best
used in conjunction with a weekly dispenser. It's way too cumbersome to stuff a week's
worth of supplements into 21 plastic baggies at a time. I much prefer dropping them
into wide-open compartments, and then transferring them as needed.

2-per-Day
Weekly
write down item#: 67596-565
$4.97 ea.
Accommodates 2 doses per day. Loads a full week in
advance. Note: The other options below also work for 2 doses per day. You'll want to
label one side AM and the other side PM. The
2-per-Day Weekly snaps
together or separates in half. One nice feature of this container is rounded scoop bottoms - it makes
it easier to scoop out the supplements (ever had one jammed at the bottom before?). One downside is
the lack of portability - it is definitely not going into your pocket!

One-Day-at-a-Time
Snapout
write down item#: 67165-752
$9.37 ea.
Accommodates 2-4 doses per day. Loads a full week
in advance. I think the One
Day at a Tiime Snapout is
one of the simplest solutions available - just grab 'n go and you got what you need for the whole day. Sometimes the doors
pop open if it gets bumped by something else in your briefcase or purse, which can be annoying, but a rubberband can prevent
that. Washes very easily in the top rack of your dishwasher.

One-Dose-at-a-Time
Snapout
write down item#: 67771-638
$16.77 ea.
Accommodates 2-4 doses per day. Loads a full week
in advance. The One
Dose at a Time Snapout is
the ultimate in flexibility when you're on the run, and every day's schedule is different. Detachable compartments drop
neatly into a briefcase, purse or bag. A little too bulky for the front pants pocket. Like the others above, if you notice
the doors popping open, a rubberband is an easy fix. It's a little tougher to wash these in your dishwasher because the
compartments are smaller and get flipped over by the jet sprays.
